"Aigoo~ I thought that I'm going to be dead meat." He sighed again as he lean on the bookshelves. His face gained back some of its colors. But he still loked bad.
"Gwenchana?" I tried to make it sound non-chalant, but my concern for escaped and showed through my voice.
He chuckled weakly. "Yeh. Gwenchanayo. I'm just... just a little dizzy." He replied. I didn't notice that his face was as colorless as before when his legs gave in from the weight of his slacking body.
My weak body rushed to catch him. I knew that I won't be able to hold him up. I won't even have a chance to hold him up even for a second. But I didn't care.
My eyes instinctively shut closed, feeling worried the he'd slip off my arms. Fortunately, he didn't. But the weight of him was too much for my frail body that my knees buckled and we both fell on the ground. Worse, his body was on top of mine.
"Yah! Wake up! I tried to move my body underneath him, but it was too damn hard.
"Yah!" I tried to call him back to conciousness. "Yah!" I called again, my voice getting louder. "Yah, ajusshi!"
I slapped him on his back. Every slap became harder than the one before it. "Yah!" I tried to push his body off mine. His body moved away from mine. Just a little though. I was disappointed and I'm starting to panic because I felt that my breathing was becoming irregular.
I don't care anymore! "YAH! You..." gasps "Wake...Up!" gasps "Yah!" My voice became weaker. Panic was taking over me. I couldn't think anymore. "Please wake up." I gasped for another breath. Every gasp for air became harder and painful. Tears welled up in my eyes, threatening to fall, when I suddenly felt his body moved on top of me.
He groaned. His eyes slowly opened his still weary eyes. He looked down at me, his vision was blurry, I suppose. He rubbed his eyes to take the bluriness away.
I knew that he finally caught on with everything that he thought that could possibly have happened. I saw his eyes become wider and rounder than before.
"Wha... What just happened?"
"I'll tell you..." I gasped and pain shot throughout my body. I winced. I saw a flicker of light through the slit of my eyes. The weight on me was gone.
"Omo! Are you ok?" He pulled me up to a sitting position. You can breathe now. Calm down. I kept telling myself that and felt my own body relaxed as I started breathing normally again.
When I opened my eyes, his face occupied my vision. His big, brown eyes were full of concern. His forehead was scrunched that it made lines visible. It made him look older and funny. I chuckled. He looked at me like I was crazy, but the concern in his eyes didn't disappear.
My hand unknowingly touched his face, "I'm fine." H sighed. His expression went from concerned to relieved. His forehead smoothed.
"Phew. Thank god you're ok." He sighed and smiled. His white teeth showed and his eyes smiled with his lips making moon shapes. Along with his smile, his voice soothed my body and I relaxed once more making it more easier to breathe.
But there was something wrong. My senses became alert again and I felt something hot. I looked at my hand that was touching his face. My eyes went wide as my other hand reached for his face.
"You have a fever!" I exclaimed. His expression changed. "Since when?" I asked.
"It's none of your business." He got up and wobbled to the center aisle while leaning on the shelves.
"Yah! It is my business because I was the one who saved your ass from being trampled on by those girls. You don't want to tell me? Fine. I'll leave now, but do expect that they'd be coming here after and you wouldn't be able to handle it." He's so stubborn and I don't deal with stubborn people.
